You are in   ICT in Sri Lanka

With exports of over $50 million and an ICT workforce numbering approximately 3000, Sri Lanka is poised to be the next ICT centre of the world.

Sri Lanka boasts a number of advantages including familiarity and ease with the English language, skilled and creative ICT personnel, and low wage rates when compared with global standards. The ICT industry is also characterized by its flexibility and its ability to create world-class software.

The Government has proven its commitment to the industry by developing a forward-looking National ICT Plan. The Plan envisages distributing the dividends of ICT to citizens and businesses nation-wide and also transforming the functioning of Government. The Government is committed to building the necessary infrastructure to enable connectivity, while undertaking regulatory reform, and developing human resources to meet future ICT needs.
